Bring your sweetheart, your sibling, your pal, or just yourself for a night of creating.
Please note: Date Night tickets are non-refundable. If you need to change or reschedule your reservation, please do so by 5:00pm on the Monday before your scheduled Date Night.
No transfers are allowed after 5:00pm on the Monday prior your Date Night.
Clay Date Night
Have you ever heard that old adage: “pottery is for lovers”? Probably not, because we just made it up. But we stand by it, because we’ve been doing these Clay Date Nights for a while, and people are always falling head over heels in love (with pottery) by the end of the night.
Our host will get you set up on pottery wheels for a few hours of dirty fun (y’know, because of the clay). You make a piece, and we'll glaze and fire your favorite one, then send you an email when it's ready in about four weeks. For any additional pieces you would like glazed and fired, there is a $5 fee per piece to cover finishing costs. This can be paid the night of the event.
Clay and tools included. Wear or bring clothes you don't mind getting messy!

Print Date Night
You know what’s cuter than a love note? How about a hand-crafted one-of-a-kind art print? You know where you can make those? Right in Groundworks Art Lab’s Print Studio!
Bring your sweetheart, your sibling, your pal, or just yourself for this beginner-friendly class and fall in love with a new hobby. The projects and tools will vary from week to week, so you may find yourself making a print from a hand-carved linoleum plate, or making a completely unique never-to-be-repeated monotype print. Whatever the project, you and your date will have a limited edition set of prints to swap with each other at the end of the night!
Materials and tools included. Ink is forever, so wear clothes you’re not attached to just in case!

Metal Date Night
You gotta keep that spark alive, and there’s no better spot to do that than Groundworks Art Lab’s Metal Studio!
Our Metal Date Night is an introductory class where you will learn shop safety, fire management, tools and equipment, the appropriate use of the various parts of the anvil and you will spend some time forging, tapering, bending, scrolling and forming material. The projects vary week to week, so you may find yourself forging a heart-shaped trivet, or a new set of napkin rings - or possibly donning a face shield and using our welding equipment! No matter the project, this is one date that will absolutely have some heat to it!
Materials and tools included. Please wear only natural-fiber clothing, long pants, and close-toed shoes in the metal studio.

Wood Date Night
Dinner and a movie starting to feel flat as a board? The Wood Studio at Groundworks Art Lab is now offering Date Nights, and we wood love to help you out!
Bring your sweetheart, your sibling, your pal, or just yourself for this beginner-friendly class and fall in love with a new hobby. The projects and tools will vary from week to week, so you may find yourself making a hand-carved wooden spoon, or turning a sweet lil' honey dipper on one of our lathes. No matter what, you better beleaf that you'll have a great time and come away with a small piece that you can cherish.
Materials and tools included. Please wear only natural-fiber clothing, long pants, and close-toed shoes in the wood studio.

Glass Date Nights
Hearts - like glass - are prone to both melting and breaking. That's why Groundworks Art Lab's Glass Studio is the best spot for a Date Night!
Bring your sweetheart, your sibling, your pal, or just yourself for this beginner-friendly class and fall in love with a new hobby. The projects and tools will vary from week to week, so you may find yourself making a set of custom glass coasters, or a fused glass suncatcher; you may even find yourself melting and reforming glass by hand with a little flame-working! No matter what the project, this class will shatter your date's expectations and you'll come away with a hand-made art piece you can cherish.
Materials and tools included. Please wear only natural-fiber clothing, long pants, and close-toed shoes in the Glass Studio. Long hair must be tied back and fully secured; no jewelry or dangling items like scarves.
