Books Arts League Adult Classes

We are excited to partner with the Book Arts League to offer programs in letterpress printing, calligraphy, bookbinding, and more! The Book Arts League is a Colorado-based nonprofit that brings together individuals who have a passion for book arts. Learn more about their organization and become a member at BookArtsLeague.org.

Session 2 Registration

All classes will be available to register on Monday, February 2 at 8:00am.

All Books Arts classes will take place at the Groundworks East location (3063 E. Sterling Circle, Boulder).

Book Arts Open Studio

Open Studio Hours The Book Arts League is excited to announce that we will now offer open studio hours! Our shop will be available monthly for you to print your work. Below are the open studio dates for the end of the year. BAL board members will be your hosts and will assist you with your printing projects. Please bring your own paper and get ready to print.

Type Meetup

Meets the second Thursday each month, 7-9pm, the type meetup is a fun and casual setting to discuss all things related to letters — led by Steve Matteson. Bring a project you’re working on for a group critique, a burning question you’ve always had about typography, or just an open and letter-curious mind. Informal homework assignments are suggested (but not required) to help fuel the imagination. The next meetup dates are Thursday, March 12 and Thursday April 9.
